FMM is seeking a motivated and energetic professional to fill our Business Development Representative position in the Houston, TX market area. FMM is a maintenance and construction company servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide, with a strong focus on providing high level, high value services at every stage of the client life-cycle. 
 
Job Summary: The Business Development Representative will be responsible for expanding the company’s customer base throughout their market area and nationally. They are responsible for identifying leads, building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, and generating new business opportunities. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a passion for sales and relationship building. This position would report directly to our Business Development Manager and would work collaboratively with each department Director to ensure that business development efforts align with each department’s goals. 
 
Job Responsibilities: **Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following** 
  • Make decisions using the 5 values of FMM as your guide: Quality, Teamwork, Pride, Passion, and Integrity
  • Turn in all necessary paperwork, bids, receipts, and any other information requested to the administrative staff as required
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue revenue-generating opportunities in the facility maintenance, multifamily, student housing, and commercial construction markets
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Present, promote, and sell projects/services to prospective customers
  • Collaborate with all departments to analyze, develop, and promote new revenue-generating opportunities
  • Work closely with all departments to align offerings with market demands and opportunities
  • Visit potential clients to evaluate needs while promoting all FMM offerings
  • Attend networking events and industry associations to build and expand relationships
  • Plan and execute a daily and/or weekly work schedule to most efficiently reach prospective clients and secure revenue-generating opportunities
  • Provide exceptional customer satisfaction and maintain excellent client relationships
  • Create and maintain a prospective client list within the FMM customer relationship management (CRM) software 

Required Skills and Abilities: 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales/business development role
  • High School Diploma
  • Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated and target-driven
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • A strong focus on customer relations
  • Valid drivers license and clear driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug screen

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Ability to travel as required
